Kevin Haslam:
Scholar, NFL Star and Business Leader

Kevin Haslam, born November 8, 1986

At Mahwah H.S Kevin excelled both in the classroom and on the football field. During his senior year in 2005, Kevin had numerous scholarship offers schools like Georgia Tech, Rutgers, NC State, Univ. of  Central Florida & Univ. of South Florida. 

At Rutgers, Kevin was a standout right tackle and one of the team’s most versatile linemen starting in all 13 games during his junior and senior years.  He received numerous awards and recognition including most improved player award in 2006, 2nd team all big east honors in 2008 and 2009, and all-star participant in 2010 East/West Shrine Bowl.  Off the field, he helped other Rutgers football student athlete as a primary member of an organization that mentored underclassmen as they adjust to life as a student athlete. Kevin graduated Rutgers in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications specializing in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. 

The 6’5” 310-pound offensive tackle went on to a successful NFL career.  The Jacksonville Jaguars signed him as an undrafted free agent following the 2010 NFL draft. His NFL career spanned four years with five NFL teams:

  • Jacksonville Jaguars (2010−2011)

  • Oakland Raiders (2012)

  • San Diego Chargers (2012)

  • New England Patriots (2013)

  • Detroit Lions (2013)

 

 

Today Kevin is a successful business leader and is still gives back to the community.  Kevin is active with:

Robert "Bob" Kratch:
Two Time Superbowl Champion 

Robert "Bob" Kratch, born January 6, 1966 in Brooklyn New York. 

Mahwah H.S  class of 1984.

Bob played offensive line at Mahwah before earning an athletic scholarship to the University of Iowa.  
This Hawkeye was an All Conference First Team selection in 1986 and 1988

The 6’-3” 288 pound guard went on to an incredible NFL career,  playing in 8 playoff games, winning 2 Super Bowls. In 1992 he was the New Jersey March of Dimes Player of the Year. In 1993 he was on the All-Pat Summerall 1st Team Offense. In 1994 he was a NFL Alll-Pro and played in over 100 games in 8 seasons.  Bob started his career with the NY Giants who selected him in the third round of the 1989 draft.  He played five seasons for the Giants and was a part of the 1990 Super Bowl Championship team at guard. He finished his career with the Patriots where he made another Super Bowl appearance in 1997.  Pat Summerall said, “At the end of the ’93 season, Kratch was THE BEST at his position, he’s used competitive desire to take his place among the premier linemen in the league”

Bob went onto to become a successful businessman, founding a highly successful furniture and design destination store in Minnesota.   He is also a key business leader at Nerium International.   Bob believes the 9 Keys to growing as a person and being the best that you can be are: Committing to a system, Learning to make effective choices, Learning to overcome and mange discouragement, Learning to think proactively, Practicing Humility, Multiplying what works, Focusing on what matters most, Investing in your spirit not your ego and Dreaming Big.

Bob currently lives in Watertown, Minnesota with his wife, Kristi, and has three children
